Tiwanaku's Knowledge

While it is known that the Tiwanaku people held extensive knowledge in terms of astronomy and cosmology, it is amazingly reflected in their architecture.

The interior of the pyramid contains two carved monoliths, a monumental Gate of the Sun, and undeciphered hieroglyphs, which are known as one of the most important art specimens of the Tiwanaku civilization.

The common theme throughout the pyramid showcases the extensive knowledge of the cosmos that the Tiwanaku people had and their dedication to their ritual site.
